General Informations


The FISTC Cart European Championship on mid- and sprint distance will be held between 20-23 of November, 2014 organized by ÉSZKSK Hungary. Our club is really proud to get the right to organize such a prestigious event.

The location of the EC will be Vének, 12 km from Győr, in the Szigetköz, Hungary. ROUTE PLANNER


On Thursday from 10 until 4 in the afternoon there will be the veterinarian examination of the dogs in the stake-out.


The championship will consist of three races, from Friday to Saturday starting at 9 am. The announcement of the results and the medal ceremony will be on Sunday afternoon based on the summed up time results of the 3 days.


Categories and distances
mid-distance: 16 km - flat trail (for O, A, B, C categories)


sprint-distance:
for O, A categories: 11 km - flat trail
for B categories: 8 km - flat trail
for C, D categories: 5 km - flat trail
for canicross, bikejöring and scooter with 1 or 2 dogs categories: 5 km - flat trail


Entry deadline: 2014. October 30.

Entries can be only handed in through the national FISTC member organizations. If a musher would come from a country, where a FISTC member organization does not exist, then please contact the directors of FISTC immadietely.

Necessary vaccinations
According to the rules of FISTC the dogs should have vaccination against rabies, and DHPP (vaccine against distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza and parvovirus).
According to the hungarian rules, dogs need vaccination against rabies valid within a year.
Vaccination against tracheobronchitis (Kennel Cough) is advised.

Stake out
We provide place for every musher who comes by tent or caravan. About the preliminary price of the power usage we will shortly give some information.


Regulations
1. From Wednesday morning no dog is allowed on the trail, not even for walking.
2. Each competitor needs to fill out a chiplist and hand it in at the race office on Thursday, with a responsibility statement and a sheet containing his/her earlier results. We would like to ask the team leaders to manage this.
3. It is strictly forbidden to release a dog on the location of the race.
4. We would like to ask the team leaders to check in at the race office immediately after their arrivals.
5. We would like to ask everyone to clean up after themselves and bury the holes dig by their dogs.
6. Abusing dogs is strictly forbidden! Only fully healthy dogs can attend the event.
7. Picture and sound records can be taken of the event. The mushers, attenders can appear on these, but by entering the event they give the explicit permission to publish these photograps and sound records about the event. They canʼt have any claims later toward the directors, or the makers of the records or the legal users of them.
8. Each attender is responsible for the damage done by him/herself or his/her dogs, and attend the event on their own risk.
